Skills Development Measures for Green Jobs in the Context of Indonesia Green Economy in Indonesia

Green Jobs are decent jobs that contribute to preserve or restore the environment, be they in traditional sectors such as manufacturing and construction, or in new, emerging green sectors such as renewable energy and energy efficiency .(ILO, 2016).

IBCSD supports ILO’s The InSIGHT Project which aims to promote mechanisms and practical approaches that will enable industries and workplaces to become drivers of sustainable and inclusive growth in the Asian region. IBCSD conducted a rapid assessment, a qualitative method by desk research exploring the information from all the stakeholder, to create a green occupational mapping for green jobs in the automotive sector that leads to strengthen institutional capacities to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in industries and workplaces and enhance companies’ structures and support systems to foster sustainability and competitiveness at sector and workplace levels.

"Pursuing sustainable development makes companies more competitive, more resilient and adaptable in a fast-changing world, and more prepare for the future."
